Remarks: | A large agglutinating foraminifer common for the Barents-Kara shelf; abundant in organic-rich mud from any shelf depth where such sediment occurs (20 through 300m); often comprises the bulk of foraminiferal biomass; rare to absent in oligotrophic areas and in sands; has a low fossilization potential. |
